Why Lehi

Local tree care for Lehi.

Serving Lehi, Utah through our Provo crew, with the same expert arborists, the same standards, and the same around the clock availability.

Lehi's rapid growth along the tech corridor means most of its trees are young, recently planted stock still establishing root systems on graded, disturbed soil, which calls for a different kind of care than an older canopy.

Why an Expert Arborist Matters in Lehi

Lehi has grown faster than almost anywhere else on the Wasatch Front, and that pace shows up in the canopy long before it shows up in the skyline. Most lots in this part of northern Utah County were graded within the last few years, which strips off topsoil and leaves a young honeylocust or Norway maple trying to root into disturbed, alkaline clay that is already stingy with the iron a new tree needs. A tree planted into that kind of soil without correction can spend its first two or three years struggling rather than growing, and by the time the stress shows up in the leaves the root system is often already behind where it should be. Getting the planting hole, soil amendment, and staking right at the start avoids years of remedial work later.

We produce written tree risk assessments using TRAQ methodology, accepted by HOAs, insurance carriers, and legal counsel, and carry full general liability and workers’ compensation insurance on every crew, whether the job is a new planting plan or storm cleanup.

Lehi’s Tree Challenges

The most common problem we see in Lehi is a young tree planted with too little attention to soil prep, which sets up iron chlorosis and transplant stress before the roots ever establish. Newer subdivisions on Lehi’s exposed benches also sit in the path of the same downslope canyon winds that threaten mature conifers elsewhere in the valley, and a young tree with a shallow, undeveloped root system can go down just as easily as an old one with a heavy crown.

Heavy wet spring snow and late frosts round out the risk calendar, and both hit unestablished trees harder than mature ones with deeper roots. Planning root development and structural pruning from the first season, rather than waiting to react after damage sets in, is what makes the difference in a city where most of the canopy still has decades of growth ahead of it.

Lehi FAQ

Local questions, local answers.

Don't see your question? Call us. Every call is answered by a human arborist, day or night.

Do you serve Lehi, UT?
Yes. The Certified Arborist Tree Service works throughout Lehi and the surrounding area. Call for a free on-site estimate.
My new build's trees look stressed already, why?
New construction lots in Lehi often have compacted, graded subsoil with little topsoil left, and Utah County's clay is already alkaline. A newly planted tree can show iron chlorosis or transplant stress within its first year without correction.
How fast can an arborist get to my property?
Most estimate visits happen within 24 hours, and storm emergencies get a crew on site the same day. We answer the phone around the clock, not a call center.
Should I stake my new trees against canyon wind?
Often yes. Newly planted trees in exposed Lehi developments have shallow, undeveloped root systems and are vulnerable to the same downslope canyon winds that stress mature conifers elsewhere in the valley.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We carry full general liability and workers' compensation coverage on every crew member, and can email a current Certificate of Insurance before work begins.
