Why an Expert Arborist Matters in Novi
Novi’s population has grown fast enough that much of its residential canopy is still young, Freeman maple, honeylocust, and littleleaf linden planted over the past two or three decades as subdivisions filled in. Young trees are exactly where structural pruning does the most good, correcting weak branch unions and codominant stems before they become the failure point in a future storm. Scattered remnant bur oaks from before development, though, carry a different risk: bur oak blight, which shows up as canopy browning that an untrained eye easily mistakes for drought stress.

Michigan’s winter storm calendar of heavy snow and ice load breakage, plus summer derecho and thunderstorm windthrow, tests weak structure fast.
